This week in Geography, Maple Class explored aerial views and learned how to look at places from above — just like a bird or a drone!

EYFS: Messy Map Makers

Reception children used real classroom objects to build "messy maps", thinking carefully about where things should go. They worked together to plan the layout and explain their choices. 

Year 1 & 2: Perfect Classroom Designers

Year 1 and 2 designed maps of their perfect classroom from an aerial view. They added labels and symbols and explained why they had positioned their features in certain areas.

We loved seeing everyone’s creativity and growing understanding of how maps represent real places.
