Celebrating European Languages Day!

Maple Class had a fantastic time celebrating European Languages Day today!

We started by listening to the "Voices of Europe" song and enjoyed joining in and dancing to the music. We also learned how to say "hello" in different European languages — including French, Spanish, German, Italian, and Swedish. The children enjoyed taking turns to greet one another using their new words.

To make our celebration even more inclusive, we also explored Makaton sign language. We learned how to sign:

• Hello
• Food
• Drink
• Daddy

• Mummy

The children picked it up brilliantly and showed lots of enthusiasm in practising the signs with their friends. It was a wonderful day of language, culture, and communication — well done, Maple Class!
