Egyptian Fact Files.
We have been thoroughly engrossed in this topic and demonstrated a wonderful understanding of Egyptian life. Making our fact files has been so enjoyable and we are all incredibly proud of our finished files.
Making pan flutes
Willow had a very creative science lesson making pan flutes.
We used 8 different lengths of straws and stuck them together. When we blew them we'd created an instrument that could achieve different pitches and we were able to explain why.
Reflection Areas
We have had an incredible lesson creating our Reflection Areas from our planning. We showed such team work and passion for our creations and then confidently presented them to our friends.
Our oracy skills and deep understanding of what spirituality means, shone through out.

Science.
In our science lesson today we were investigating how volume changes with distance.
What happens to the volume of a sound as the distance from the source increases and decreases? Let’s find out.
Reflection areas
Today in RE we worked in groups to design our own reflection areas.
We considered what we could see, hear, smell, touch and taste.
French numbers 1 to 12
In our French lesson today we have been learning to count from 1 to 12. We are careful to pronounce the words correct,after listening to Kapow.
We had fun matching pictures to numbers then counting in our groups.
How does sound travel?
We have been learning how the string carries the sound waves, vibrates the cup and vibrates their ear drum for us to hear what our friends said.The string is a solid so the sound waves travel quickly.
After a discussion we recorded our findings in our books.
Ancient Egyptians, making our own Papyrus Paper.
Willow class had a very enjoyable art lesson today, messy but fun.
We have been creating Papyrus paper using strips of sugar paper dipped into glue mixed with water, and layered over wax paper.
How are sounds made?
In Science we were experimenting with different ways to make sounds and recording which part was vibrating.
Maple Nativity.
Maple Class were absolutely fantastic in their nativity performance and made us all incredibly proud. Every child played their part with confidence and enthusiasm — singing beautifully, remembering and delivering their lines, dancing with energy and performing brilliantly…
Structures

This week we have been adding the next level to our structure. Our team work and perseverance was incredible and we are thoroughly enjoying this project.
DT. Designing a pavilion.
In DT we have designed a structure. We considered who it would be appealing to and the theme it reflects.
Today we began to use materials to create the different effects and also to ensure our structure was stable.
