It was our last lesson of gymnastics today so we had the apparatus out. We learnt how to use and move around safely The children showed such perseverance and strength .What a great start to the last week of term.

Today, in continuation of our call and response unit, using percussion instruments ,we practised playing the glockenspiel. We had fun learning simple nursery rhymes.

In PE we have been practising the skills needed to play Tag rugby. Today we were learning how to pass the ball correctly and also how to defend against an attacker.

Year 2 are enjoying learning their new spellings on Spelling Shed.

In D&T we have been learning about seasonal foods. In preparation for making our seasonal tarts we have been learning how to prepare fruits and vegetables. We have learnt how to grate, peel and chop safely. Keep your eyes peeled for photos of our seasonal tarts which we will be making…

In RE we have been looking at the features of a Mosque. We used the iPads to do a 360degree tour of a mosque and then worked in teams to annotate pictures with what we had learnt.

In Science this week we have been exploring igneous, metamorphic and sedimentary rocks. we used the handheld microscopes to observe their appearances.
