Today we celebrated St Andrews Day in church.

In music today we told the story of Little Red Riding Hood using tuned and untuned percussion instruments. We used tempo, timbre and dynamics to create our characters, show how they were feeling and what actions were taking place.

Frottage art.
In Art this week we have been learning about the technique of Frottage. This is where you take rubbings from textured surfaces to form a picture. It was a technique created by the artist Max Ernst.
Investigating melting.
We have been investigating how the temperature of water affects how quickly solids melt. As part of our experiment we used thermometers to measure the temperature. We were so amazed that one of our ice cubes took 40 minutes to melt!
Deforestation
We have been learning about deforestation linked to the Amazon rainforest. Today we have had group debates to put forward all our arguments both for and against deforestation.
